Our aims
Brigham 21 is a site conceived and produced by Nigel Moffat & Bryn Seldon. It celebrates Brigham Traffic, which is located at Allerdale House, Brigham, Cumbria. Nigel has been stationed there for the last twenty-one years.

Allerdale House will be sold later this year and the staff and vehicles moved to the new police station which is under construction at Workington. We felt that this event should not go unnoticed. We have tried to contact present & past members of staff to add their pictures and thoughts to the site. This is an ongoing project that will take some time to complete. If you have anything to enrich the site please contact either Nigel or myself.
Our Changing Role
Over the past ten years the responsibility of the Traffic Officer has gradually changed from pure enforcement of traffic legislation, to a more general policing role. This was reflected with the change of title, during the nineties, from Traffic Department to Mobile Support Group, (MSG). Our main priority still remains as Road Safety, but we now have a much broader policing mandate including Crime, Drug Enforcement & Public Order. Although this has been a difficult transition for some officers our new role & responsibilities are well understood and pursued with vigour.
